How EMBOLC
supports organizations
- Assisting Board, Executive Committee and HR in setting direction and incorporating awareness of mental health into their Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy
- Assisting in developing the implementation plan for the strategy and supporting its’ implementation.
- Mentoring any person in the organization whose life is affected by ‘mental illness’ (personally, parent, sibling, child, spouse etc.) - individually and in online support groups – to increase personal resilience.
WHAT IS EMBOLC?
EMBOLC is Danish for IMBOLC, which is one of four Celtic fire festivals. It is the celebration of the return of light after the dark winter. It is celebrated on February 2nd and makes the rest of the winter seem shorter. It celebrates the light that brightens our thoughts in the middle of the cold and dark.
Imbolc means ‘in the stomach’ and refers to the stomach of Mother Earth where new buds are nurtured and strengthened to break through the cold and frozen earth with the promise of spring.
Spring is coming – Light is coming – And hope blossoms.

Being the mother of a child - now a young person - that faces massive challenges is a huge and lonely task requiring many resources and a lot of blood, sweat and yes, mostly tears.

This women’s group has been so unique. It’s different than the general support groups in many ways. It’s educating me on me and how I deal with my emotions, particularly and specifically regarding the experience of having a loved ‘child’ be so troubled.
It is an opportunity to learn to heal myself in a way I never knew existed. I have spent the past six years in absolute fear and panic at the expense of my own sanity and peace. I needed a way to find myself back to ‘me’. But I didn’t have that until I found Lotte Weaver. She introduced me to a way to find myself back to me. She has brought me peace in a situation that most would not consider peaceful. Because of Lotte I find that I can stand strong and therefore can help him far better than ever I thought possible.
There’s lots of room to breathe, which is new for my process. I feel held up by Lotte’s guidance and feedback.

This course has been perfect for me. It is the beginning of the rest of my life. I have become aware that I have to work with feelings that come up instead of suppressing them till they explode.
The online group is great. Lotte is available during the entire process and knowing that I can write in the group – day and night – gives me a sense of security. Lotte is attentive, engaged and present. Every answer from her is unique and aimed only at the person who asks.
The exercises have also been perfect for me. Lotte has a comfortable voice, and I reach a completely relaxed state when I listen to her. They have opened up for something new in me. The exercises I found difficult and had resistance on in the beginning, I now see are becoming a natural part of me.
And the work continues. I have gained access to tools that I want to continue to work with so I can stand even stronger in myself no matter what takes place around me. As a mother to challenged and sensitive children, you often feel very alone. It has therefore been rewarding to have a forum to share your thoughts and be met with complete understanding.
Lotte has made herself completely available and has been present throughout the entire experience. It is easy to feel that she has been there herself and has more than just a professional interest in working with families of sensitive children.
Lotte’s feedback to all of our input and questions in the group has shown great clarity. I continuously feel surprised by her ability to draw out the essence of the complex feelings and reactions we each describe.

Thank you so much for a very interesting course Lotte I got so much out of it. I have less head aches and my migraines are much milder now. The Lichen Planus exema does not bather me anylonger, and my skin is much better and cleaner (I have suffered from much acne). I also suffer less from anxiety. I am definitely continuing with an anti-inflammatory diet.
I attended the EMBOLC course Heal Your Body, Heal Your Mind. Changing my diet has been a positive experience. On the whole, I feel lighter, and have a sense of contentment and calm in my body that I had not expected when the course began. I also think I am calmer and more in balance. Very soon after the course started, a problem I have had with dryness in my eyes was gone. It has been extremely interesting to hear and read about the Ayurveda body types and I think it makes really good sense. It is a really nice combination with the Ayurveda, anti-inflammatory diet and functional medicine, on which Lotte builds the course 🌺🌺🌺.

Thanks for some super weeks during Heal Your Body, Heal Your Mind ❤️ I've found that I get an uncomfortable stomach from gluten and especially sugar. I think I want to completely remove sugar and gluten from my diet. I don't miss it in the new diet at all. I always thought we were eating healthy, and we actually eat a lot healthier now. The summer will be spent finding inspiration for a lot of delicious anti-inflammatory dishes and reading some of the things that have been posted on the online group. It has been a very positive experience 🌼❤️🌼.
